Description
Sleeve type coupling is including a center sleeve, two end rings, two wedge shaped gaskets and a set of bolts and nuts. The center sleeve has a conical shape at each end to accommodate the wedge-shaped portion of the gasket. The tightening of the fastener pulls the end rings toward each other, thereby compressing the gasket in the space between the inner diameter of the center sleeve and the outer diameter of the pipe surface. After the correct installation, a flexible long-term seal can be formed.
